Plug it into a standard domestic socket and it works — no three-phase supply, no special wiring. The single-phase 1.5 kW motor turns a belt-driven pump that fills a 100-litre vertical receiver, so the compressor sits in the corner of a garage or back room without taking up floor space.

The vertical tank does two jobs: it saves room and it holds a useful reserve of 100 litres, so a nail gun, a blow gun or a small spray gun keeps working between pump cycles instead of running straight off the motor.

Belt drive keeps the pump turning slowly and quietly, which means less wear and less noise than a direct-drive unit of the same output — and if the motor ever needs attention, it can be replaced without touching the pump.
